Bachelor of Arts Broadcast Journalism

Hello! My name is Mathena Washington and I am a graduate from West Texas A & M University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism with a focus in Sports Broadcasting.

 

In February of 2020, at the Best of the Best Showcase WT, I was presented with the "Out of the Gate" award for my Video Production skills. Only five current and former students from the Mass Communications department were honored at this award ceremony.

Following graduation I plan to seek out opportunities as either a sports anchor or sports analyst. I would like to continue my passion and coach volleyball at any level.
